ColonCurrency's Hype-Arrrr...... It's ALIVE!
This past weekend Asspenny and myself worked on his ITR and got the pile running again (for more than 15 seconds 
). I think that's about 1.5 years of downtime with a variety of problems caused initially by bad timing belt tension. Turns out the PE belt was stretched quite a bit, we couldn't actually get it tight enough to run the car without it jumping teeth...
Anyways, after new valves (again), new timing belt, new tensioner (and spring and bolt), another new head gasket and some other minor stuff.... (quick video of it running at the end of the post)
Yep, it even moves somewhat under it's own power:
It's not tuned at all, idles at around 800-900rpm fairly decently and is purposely running rich as hell... but it runs.
It's a good thing too, otherwise he would have driven this at expo

You meen the last time it saw any kind of drive was on the way to Expo 5 at MAM?
Glad to hear it's back, But I need more proof of it being his car, show the burnt/melted front badge

It was shortly after Expo 5, it made it all the way home and for a little bit after that, it's been 1 year 4/5 months, somewhere in that range..
Oh yeah, it also has an oil leak from the oil pressure sending unit hose, but oh well.
And I believe that's a different bumper cover from the burned one, it's been through 3 I think? At least 2 maybe 3 hoods also...

Arrrr... yes she runs... As for the last trip, I think it was to NOPI (remember the mini bike aka "The Destroyer". So yeah, been down for a while and surprisingly the gas still smells good Still needs alot of work but atleast is looking like she'll make it to VIR for ITR Expo 07

Is your car still in the Delray area or is it in Tampa with Dave-ROR? If in Boca, contact Turbogixxer he's the best around here. If in Tampa contact John Vega (phearable.net) AKA mtber on H-T or LHT.
