I need advice, please help?!!?
So yesterday I took off my front license plate and low and behold the dealership drilled a hole right smack in the middle of my front bumper. Why do you ask? To hold the front license plate in place. I called them and they said it's a common practice. I know that's a bunch of crap. How can I get them to fix it?
Honestly nothing much to do... you can argue and complain
which could lead to your front bumper being repainted which will only hurt your reseale in the long term...
Should have requested this BEFORE the car was delivered.

Having a part of your car repainted?... anytime you repaint something it raises questions... especially by a prospective buyer
So dealerships will dramatically "rape you" on your trade in value due to the repaint ( which can be tested with a paint meter.)

I had this problem. I requested it not to be done blah blah blah. I picked up my car and it was drilled etc still. I complained for about 1 month and I finally got in touch with the owner and his son and I got it taken care of within that week. My resale doesnt bother me etc, I have a reciept, and it states the whole story on it.

Guess I got lucky with my front plate. It was installed through the grill with the holder resting on the bumper, no holes for me. Don't know why that wouldn't be common practice with dealers, unless they enjoy using drills on new cars.
Just because things are "common practice" doesn't mean they should be.

Yeah same here. When i got my car it had the front plate on as well. And i took it off about a month ago and it was drilled onto the grill as well.
