Hi, My friend owns a 1995 prelude with the H23 non vtec motor, it idels really bad and has really black smoke due to what we think is a fuel problem and it running to rich, but when I looked at the ECU I didnt see any blinking light, how can I read codes on this car? I'm not to framilar with obd1 I'm a EF obd0 guy, all help is appreciated, thank you

 

Is the check engine light on?

The was to check it is that there is a connector that you have to jump it is by the drivers feet behind the console behind the radio. Once you jump the connector you turn the key to on and it blinks the code.
