Greddy Evo2 owners
I went to get my oil changed and when I was finished, one of the mechanics said it sounded like it was leaking air. He asked me if I was missing a gasket, but I told him I wasn't. When I got the Evo2, I only got one gasket. It went in between the axle and the beginning of the pipping. Am I missing a gasket? Am I suppose to have one for the area between the pipping and the cat too? I have noticed it sounded a little raspy when the car is decreasing in speed, others noticed it too?
Did you make sure that the gasket that mounts between the front of the exhaust and the catalytic converter is still there? There should be a gasket there, but is not included in the GReddy kit (more than likely because the OEM is metal). I replaced mine with a new gasket there but noticed I have a slight leaking sound coming from my car as well.
Also, once the exhaust system heats up and cools down a couple of times you really want to double-check all of the bolts and re-torque them down. The exhaust system expands when it heats up and shrinks when it cools down a little bit so this could cause the bolts to get loose and thus the exhaust system is not tightened down as much as it needs to be.
Good luck!
