Default How do you know when your cv joints are bad?

Just wondering, because I heard some noises from one of the front wheel wells when turning. But it was only one time, and I have been turning my wheel back and forth and I don't hear anything. I checked all the boots and they look fine. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

take your car to an empty car park and drive in a circle at near to full lock. Do this in both directions, if the joints are worn then you'll hear a clicking noise when turning.
