who runs an aftermarket steering wheel?
just curious as to how many of you guys run an aftermarket str whl, and how you like them, if their worth the price for driving improvement, etc... my stock wheel is going, the top of it turns on the metal(from previous owners g-ride driving stance) i'm looking at the momo apache... nice but expensive. anybody have any opinions on Isotta? they make some nice wheels, among their funky looking ones. are they any good? thanks guys
i dont see why youd need one unless you road race or someting.
nice looking wheel sirkid, by the way how's your car coming these days?

I am putting a Sparco Flash 5 on the CRX Si to race. The stock wheel (14 years young) has the same problem that you have with separation. I will recommend that you consider a 350mm diameter (20 under stock), but find a store where you can actually hold one. We got this one at OG Racing in Virginia and they had a number of sample units out-same for seats. Just my 2 cents.

i had a momo top power (300mm....smallest one they make) and i loved it.....it seems easier to steer with the momo wheela and it looked sweet
i couldnt believe changing a steering wheel would make the car feel that much better...but it did
alot more comfortable, only downside is it makes me wanna drive everywhere even to the shops about 100m from ma house hehe
i say get one but make sure it feels comfortable first..

i had a Mugen FG360 that was replaced by a Mugen Racing Wheel 2. The feeling of the wheel is way better than stock on both wheels. I like em.
A Momo or a Nardi is cool. My bro bought me a used Momo 4-spoke for RM100 (US$26). The leather is a little chewed up in places but I like it. I think companies like Spoon and Mugen subcontract sports wheel making to companies like Momo, Nardi or Personal. I prefer Nardi, then Momo, then others. Get a simple 3 spoke Momo like the one Spoon uses. My only complaint about my Momo is that it obscures the writing on my column stalks. But not really a big problem.
i got a momo F1 concept and i luv it, its a hellovalot easier'n'fun when going through the twisties then the factory bus str whl LOL, ow and not to mention that pulling the handbrake and throwing the car into a 180 with the momo rOcks
Just got mine in. I love the feel
where did you get it?
sorry for the abundance of questions. Looks good.
take care,

I am really also interested in a steering wheel for autocross. I will be running in G-Stock so it has to be within an inch of the original diameter.

Any 350mm wheel will be fine for G-stock.
I like the OMP Velocita.

It's a bit pricey at $210 for suede and $220 for leather plus another 60 for a hub adapter, but dang if it ain't nice.

i found one shop were i got the chance to hold a bunch of momo wheels and some other cheap knockoffs. the momo's were so much lighter and nicer. although i never got a chance to hold any suede ones... are the suede ones cushioned as well? thanks for the info guys.
