I need to sell my car ASAP and have not been having good luck (even though the dealership down the street from me recently sold 2 PY ITRs..a 2000 with 16k miles for $26K (!!) and a 2001 with 25K miles for $24K).

So, if you refer a buyer to me, I will give you one of the following:
- Set of '98 ITR wheels with Kumho v700's on it. Wheels are pefectly round but not cosmetically perfect. Perfect for racing. The v700's only have 1 track day left in 'em, or maybe a few autocrosses.
- Set of steel wheels with Pirelli Winter Ice snow tires. 80% of so tread left on the tires.

i'm trying to sell my car right now and are looking for a type-r.

 

Have you put an ad in the chicago tribune? I have had no luck using online sources for the fact that many people are just there to waste time and bs. The paper is still the best source I believe because you are attracting local buyers, most who are serious..No one has ANY type R ad's in it. Give it a try.

Start with the free places first. Post it in itrca.com and the honda-tech.com classifieds. Bump the listing in h-t.com classifieds every so often with a "ttt" because that forum moves fast. Also post in the ITR group on yahoogroups and the chip list. I know you know about a whole bunch of other sites where you can post it for sale.

Also, figure out a way to post about it in the ITR forum on h-t.com without it looking like a classified ad, so you don't get yelled at for putting it in the wrong forum. Oh wait, I think you've got that covered.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I have done the NOT free online resources (cars.com and autos.yahoo.com) along with h-t.com, clubsi.com, and a few other places. I have also paid money to put it in the AutoFocus, which I thought would work well. It hasn't. I have not tried the paper and probably will do that for the upcoming Sunday issue.

Also, figure out a way to post about it in the ITR forum on h-t.com without it looking like a classified ad, so you don't get yelled at for putting it in the wrong forum. Oh wait, I think you've got that covered.

Yelled, schmelled....I've been on here longer than most (if not all) the moderators . Plus, most ITR guys aren't interested in buying a second, although you never know!! :D

BTW: If a h-t.com member buys my car from me for my asking price, you get both sets of wheels/tires included! How is that for value!!

Hey, don't hijack my thread!!

Its amazing..I thought I would sell this car in a week or so (sold my mr2 turbo in one day, prelude SH in a week, and '92 GSR in a couple weeks). BMW Financial Services will be looking for some $$ in the near future...need to sell the R to get it all together!

Heh. Should have covered your bases a little better

I don't owe on the T5 until the end of June. With a bit of luck, my R will sell before then so I can refinance and roll in some of the proceeds to a down payment. I do have a contigency plan in place, just in case it doesn't sell in the next couple of weeks.
