Not to bad, but I'd check with a few different companies.
http://www.importautosalvage.com - Some of the best people you'll EVER deal with. If there is a problem they do everything in their power to help.
http://www.hondamotorsonline.com - Haven't dealt with them, but I've heard they'll are respectable.

If you got the money and they seem reputable, go for it. It is always nice to deal with locals, importautosalvage is less than like an hour away from me. What shop, btw?

thats not bad , some prices very between 3200-3500
3500 being on the high side (obviously).. so how is 3800 "not bad".
3800 is closer to some ITR prices lol.
i got my J-spec GSR motor for 3500 and mine has LSD. If you gonna spend that much then you should either save up for a ITR or atleast make sure it's a spec motor so you can get like 10 more hp and LSD
There's many factors involved in the price. Just because you can get a good deal doesn't mean you're getting a good motor. I got my full USDM 99 B18C1 swap for $3750 shipped to my door. The motor had 14K verified miles and it was 100% complete. Also included in this price was a 95 OBD1 P72 ecu and a 6 month unlimited mileage warranty. That might be a little pricy to some people but you'll get no complaints here. I installed it last April and it's run perfect with no problems since.

hell...$3800??? that's practically how much some DECENT LS/VTEC setups run...inlinefour.com??? i don't know about that...sounds like a retail price to me...shop around and look for better deals...
It's all about supply and demand. Considering that the Integra came to be replaced by the RSX which parts won't fit the Civic's were swapping them in now, the availability of these B18C motors isn't infinite. There are only so many out there and pretty soon they'll be even more and people will continue to buy them. Current average cost for a decent GSR swap is about $3500.
