Default Explicit Speed Header + Prelude = ?

Just wondering if anyone has this header in a 4th gen.

I have searched but found nothing. When I contacted ESP they were unable to give me a definate answer as to wether it will fit or not.

SO, all I'm after is for someone to confirm that this header will fit into a 4th gen lude with no modification.

Thanks

Nice of him to leave that out of the e-mail that he sent me.

By modification, what do you mean. Modding the crossmember or the header itself?

alright i talked him and he said it should fit without a problem because it's got a ball and socket type collector on it. he said he's sold a few to lude and accord guys and they havent contacted him about it, so it must work.

Sounds like the exact e-mail he sent to me.

Hello, thanks for the inquire. Should be no problems fitting the Prelude or Accord chassis. Already sold a few to each...no news is good news...the ball and socket collector allows 360 degree movement so it will compensate for any miss alignment from chassis to chassis. Nope no pictures of it on the Prelude or Accord chassis. Thanks-John

But really the fact that is has a ball & socket collector has nothing to do with the clearence of the front mount and crossmember.

I really want to buy one to see how it goes but when he is telling some people that it will fit with modification, and others that it should fit. That dosent make me very confident in buying the product.

I'm in no way trying to dis ESP, I know they make great products and john has been pretty helpfull, responds very quickly to all e-mails. Just trying to get some confirmation from someone who has the header.

The camp1320 might fit prelude, if you use the explicit speed traction bar, and the civic halfsized radiator. Im going to give it a shot.

Seems like a lot of trouble to go to. Plus the uncertainty of it all.

Well i am already using a civic half sized dual core radiator, and i had to hack up my stock crossmember to fit the 3 inch dp for my previous turbo setup. so i was going to buy a tractionbar anyway. I like the look of the header, and if it performs well, i think it is worth trying.
