Default knock sensor questiona

I have a 99 honda prelude... base model h22a4

the motor was sent off to get built. the guy that built it broke the knock sensor and supposedly theres no way i can get him to payfor it, anyhow i dont want to drive the car until i get one because it will retard the timing if im not mistaken...

heres the question...
what knock sensors will fit and work for the h22... can i use obd1 or one from any other honda ... example an accord. i know (if its possible) ill have to rewire it or replace the square plug with a round one thats not a problem.

i live in the va beach area and i cant find one for sale any where for my specific car in stock and the places that can order it say 3-10 days 3 being 190 dollars.

any way if theres anyone in the va beach area with a knock sensor for the car or that will work for the car and wants to sale it let me know dustinr1985@hotmail.com or an obd2 conversion harness because i have a chiped obd1 ecu already.

to my knowledge, any OBDII vtec knock sensor will work.

any honda obd1 or obd2 knock will fit. the threads are the same, but if you use a obd1 you need to wire on the circle plug. obd2 uses the square plug

^^ Agreed. I used an obdII knock sensor on the obdI car, but i had to change the plug on the wiring harness.

one more quick question

is the 99 prelude base an obd2a or obd2b?

i went to buy obd2 to obd1 harness and its obd2a to obd1 and the guy tells me mines obd2b

on honda tech ive searched and found one thread in that thread some one says its obd2b and someone says its obd2a and theres no final whose right post or anything.

im pretty sure its obd2a but want to be reassured before i spend the money on it since im in va beach and my cars in nc
