Default 2.0L B18c5

I have search, i found nothing on Brain Crower Stroker Crank/Kit

I reall want to retain the 81MM bore but what to hit 2.0L i know the 95mm stroker will give it to me. I would retain the 11.5:1 ration.

question for those 2.0L guys why does everyone says overbore > stroke

whats the man reason you all choose this route.

thanks

Sleeve it and go overbore

engine life with the stock crank will shorten, but will not be as short as one with a 95mm crank

It would be smarter to get sleeved to run a higher bore when going from a 1.8 to 2.0L . With a longer stroke, your bearings will endure more stress.

Well Benson uses Darton sleeves. And if you want to go all out, get some sleeves from LA Sleeve Company. They have a tensile strength of 150000, with Darton being 125000. They are much more thicker and you can actually run a 87mm and plus bore relatively safe.

Better to overbore.

Besides crapifying the rod ratio, stroker kits for the B-series use either billet cranks or modified cranks from the very old B20A, neither of which are as strong as the OEM B18 cranks.

Look into Scat cranks, they are worth it.

Like my pops said we have 3 cars over 850+ horsepower. 63 splitwindow vette drag car runs low 9's 69 camaro runs 10's "stick car"
and a 70 opel runs 8:40's all motor you get most of your horsepower from you head i was going to do a 2.0 stroke motor but then he told me you get most of power from the head now im just going to stay 1.8 put new sleeves in the motor and do the head to the max

I would say do both. Its only another ~$800 to add sleeves to that mess. You're going to take the motor to a machine shop anyways to do the hone for the new pistons right?

You should be quite happy with that setup. We've built some nasty 2.0-2.2L B-series using BC-V's.

Think i might go with LA Sleeves Overb bore to 85MM with stock stroke will put me at around 1979CC and with the headwork i should be able to hit around 240 - 250whp with proper tunning. Been thinking about toda's forge piston kit for the 85MM but they run a 13.5:1 think its a little to high for a daily drive beasty

So Far as bottom end building:

Castillo's Crankshaft Specialist
Lighten Crank
Tear Drop Oil Dwells
Ion Harden

LA Sleeveing
85MM Bore with 1/8" (0.125) Wall Thickness

Toda
85MM Forged Piston Kit w/rings and pins

Import Builders
I-Beam Rods

OEM Honda Bearings

what do you people think about the starting of the bottem end.

You are paying too much if you're going with the TODA piston set.

If you want a great combination, Manley Rods and CP lightweight's. Plus you can choose the compression you want.

Don't pay for a name, pay for the performance

All that money and hard work and a stock K20a2 w/ i/h/e swapped dc2 will still take you out and the K will last 3x longer than your motor.

You have one K'd... I say you boost the other one.

NA B-series is... "ehhhh"
