Default electrical help w/ 99-00 fog light install

I just installed a pair of ebay fog lights... yes i know cheap but for $40 and the exact same look as oem i cant compain.

so heres the problem i installed everything and the foglights work fine. the only problem is the light inside of the foglight switch is always on even when the car is off. its supposed to only come on when the fog lights are turned on and turn off when they r off. i double checked the wiring and everything is properly installed (used the instrustions from handa-accesories.com).

is it just one of those you get what you pay for things or is it something else? also is this going to cause any problems?

thanks - eric

dbl chk your wiring again if you have it wired to the oem spots it should not be on when the ignition is off as there should be no pwer to it - not what you probably wanted to hear but its either wrong or right and it must be wrong if it stays on - and it will cause a minimal drain on your battery but still it cant be right.
