Default d series: thermostat housing is it threaded?

As asked, is the housing threaded? or is it just where the bolts go in from the housing threaded?

Just the bolts are theaded, but some times u get corosion in the housing hole and it gives u the look of the haousinf being threaded but its not not if u are concerned just clean the hole before u put the bolts back

Well, see here is why I ask.

I used the wrong bolt on the "housing outlet" part, and I snapped the head off of it. The bolt closest to the motor.

Now, if I take out the other bolt from the side furthest from the motor, will the housing just slip off? and then i can use plyers and slowly get that other bolt with the head broken off, out.

You are correct. Just take the other bolt off and it will come right off, wel it will after you work at it foe awhile. They are always stuck.
