Default Anyone using Honda's Anti-freeze?

question for those of you who do:

does it make your temp. read cold when running on the freeway? city/local driving the temps. normal, but hit the freeway and mash on the pedal,it'll drop to C. i have two friends who both use the coolant and both have the same symptoms. ones a CD5 and ones a CG. im just curious about that.

About the only thing I can think of, is when you are on the freeway, you get constant cold air on the radiator. City driving you get stop and go traffic which would allow for it to warm up and not get a constant amount of cold air.

if you have your heat blasting try turning that off and see if that changes its behavior. If it does usually that's a thermostat that is stuck open. Usually when mine was broken, on the highway it actually got warmer cause of the increased combustion. Also if your thermostat isnt working right your torque converter won't lock up on the highway and you'll run 250rpms or more higher than usual. at 70 going steady you should have around 250 below 3k rpms.
