Default V-band welding

I was planning to fabricate my DP with v-band coming off my GT35R. As with all stainless that I weld, it tends to warp of course. How do you guys keep it from warping?

Head flanges that I weld has to get bolted to a big fat piece of steel. I assume the same with v-band and clamp it down to something?

I'm going to be using this for the side with the turbo:

Is there a better price for this piece?

V-band stuff is expensive so I don't want to mess up and its my first time working with it. I have no problem welding stainless or aluminum. TIA!

John

I would get the other half and band them together while welding. Looks like that would help quite a bit.

Yea, like what he says.

Clamp on the other end.

I usually weld them without having any problems with them warping. Tack weld it on every end, then weld away...
