Default Dart tall deck

I have a Dart tall deck b20 just wanting to know how you guys that have used this setup do about hoods? I have this setup in a street car and need to do something about a hood but cant find anything to help me with this problem..

cut the hood and put a scoop on it.

or you could straight cut it for the valvecover to clear, M.Brauning style

Well I knew that I just didnt know if anyone out there mad hood for these issues. My hood is carbon fiber the manifold would melt the hood.

cut the skin of the hood and add 1" spacers

have you tried fitting the hood without the rear latches?
this is how mine sticks out. I think you can make it work.

try doing the washer trick.. ive seen alot worse. people that bought those AVID mounts and the motor sat Really high and Cockeyed.

^^^^^ was gonna ask the same thing.. those cheaper mounts either make the motor-
1. Sit really high and have hood clearance issues
2. Sit too low and have oil pan issues
3. sit cockeyed and have clearance issues with the strut mount area.

i have a 3 in dp and still have enough clearance to drive it on the street. they work for me. but thats on a h22 not a tall deck b20.

i feel ya too... except mine is a k20. i just got sick of suck a problem with it i just cut a hole in the hood the first pic is of the hood with an Inch and a half spacing on the two hood hinges.. the hood supports were cut out as well in this picture and the whood latch itself is still about a half inch away from closing..



this is with the hood cut out... good thing this is my drag car... its still hard to close even with the hole
