Default same guy with tak new question

i got the old one in, after i broke the surrounding plastic. That damn screw behind the hazerd broke off after a few good rifs in case u care!! 2 qustions on the new one. The new one has a white and yellow plug in the middle of the bottom side, my old one only had a yellow so thats all i plugged in. what is the other one for.
Second, why does the temp gauge go all the way to overheated? My car was cold and it immediatly went up and never stopped? Thanks for all the help guys and gals!!!!! Im so happy!!!!!!!!!

Yellow for SRS, white for cruise control (which you dont have and can leave unplugged).

Make sure the screws behind the temperature/fuel gauge are tight and are not overtighten (to where it free spins). If the temp/fuel gauge is tight already, then you might need a new temp/fuel gauge (~$35 from the dealership). I have had this problem before (twice) and it turned out that the screw was screwed in too tight that it free spun, causing the wire lead that is soldered onto one of the gauge 'posts' to break off.
