I bought the Hasport mounts and axles for my H22 ek swap and after the mount and axle install, the axles look like they are binding because what looks to be the bottom of the motor needs to tilt back in order for the geometry of the axles to be in line, the axles are really binding about a 1 1/2 inches almost seems like the rear mount is wrong. I'm wondering if the bracket that comes off the back of the block needs to be shorter? Any thoughts??

 

since the h22 was already in the car when I bought it, I'm wondering if the rear motor mount bracket is wrong. I ordered 2 prelude rear mount brackets one from 92 to 95 and the other 96 and up, just to compare the difference they are different part numbers even though the block did not change, so we will see if they are longer shorter. I'ts gotta be some issue with the back mount.

 

i have the same problem..

just got the ekh2 hasport mounts and i can't get rid of this binding..
shakes/vibrates bad between 20-50 mph


i think i'm going to get a set of RAXLES..

 

I had that same problem with my h22 ek with hcp mounts I ended up using a 90-93 integra passesnger side axle to get ride of the binding and vibrating.

 

the newer Hasport H22 kit moves the motor closer to the passenger side requiring different axles. I know hasport sells the correct axles for that kit.

 

yep, that's what they say, and those are exactly what I bought, and their binding. I checked the part numbers with hasport, and the axles and mounts that I bought are supposedly correct. The back mount bracket comes in tomorrow, we will see if this helps.

i got hcp mounts with hasport axles and dont have any problems at all is the car lowered cuz that will bind the axles?

 

go with innovative mounts. they are pretty good not sure about h22 stuff. hit up Camp1320.com they got some on there street car no problems

 

What axles? Which HaSport Kit? And (Answer Honestly), how low is the vehicle?

 

The car is not lowered at all , ekh2 mount kit, and same with axles, I talked with the hasport owner, he is giving me some things to try to confirm that the axles are the right axles. So as soon as I hear back from my mechanic I have to call him. So at least he is trying to help.

 

try some 89 integra axles with lude inners

 

Talked to the owner of hasport again, he is definately very helpful, he is going send me another axle, he thinks the one I got just got packaged wrong, very possible. I have to give hasport props for there customer service, that's huge. Thanks to kieth the owner for all his help.
