Shift Boot Question
In my CRX, I just wrapped a big rubber band around the shift lever a bunch of times until it was really tight, then stretched the boot over the top of it. Voila, shift boot stays up.
In my VW, I actually used to black zip tie right below the **** to keep that boot up.

I've done both before, either one will work, at least for a year or two.
Last time it slipped down I junked the OEM boot. Replaced it with an aftermarket boot that screws up against an aftermarket ****. PITA to install & work with (imagine twirling the entire boot around while you're attaching it to the ****), but black leather at least looks nicer than the black vinyl.
