I have done over 600 with the dump tube running back into the down, I usually run it into the short radius of the bend. You can't hear what's happening when the wasteg gate opens to the air.

i'm not saying you can't do it,but it would be more beneficial, esepcially if that downpipe is 2.5".

I don't think a 2.5" down pipe will make 600 either.

What does the size of the wastegate have to do with high HP, It works hard only on low boost.

Its 3", I was thinking that there might be to many bends. There is 4 90s. I cant stand hearing that wg open. If the difference is small its worth it having it quiet. Plus you dont get all the black carbon everywhere.

The idea of a wastegate is to keep the boost in check at low boost. At 600 whp the gate is doing very little as it isn't bleeding off much pressure .

My single 38m Tail gate holds boost from 11 psi all the way to 34psi.

I was thinking the same thing, I am going to be running max boost out of my T4 62-1 untill I get a bigger turbo. Then I was thinking about adding another 38. But is that going to be too much?

Exactley, I've made just under 600 whp with a single 38mm with a 1 bar spring, held 28psi rock hard.

lot of people do dual wastegates cause they want to run 7psi on a GT40 for some reason... I had a 38mm and ran 25psi on a 35r with no problem, never boost creep or anything.
