i have a complete b16 swap in my 99 civic, i just got a cheap 94 b18b block for a 100$ .so im finally doing my ls vtec soon if i use my p30 piston what compression should i expect.?.What else may i need to do the whole swap?
.any comments or recomendation will be nice

cp ratio should same as the si.. the gsr head adds .2 cp ratio.

 

even with the LS Block ?

 

actually if you use the p30 pistons youre gonna be at about 12.2:1

Alright that should be enough then with stage 2 cams ,valve train, adjustable cam gears I/H/E stage 1 exedy clutch with a 10lbs flywheel or maybe upgrading that later on i just wanna get pass 200whp all motor on my set up...and im also using a GSR tranny will that make a lot of diference than the b16?

yes, the b16 has shorter gears then the gsr. faster accelaration but lower top end. also really high rpms on highway.. about 4500rpms at 75

so long story short either of these would raise your compression depending on how much the block is decked or your head milled..

feel free to correct me if im wrong

 

am using a gsr tranny thought ..is that a bad idea i think myself that gsr tranny have a great 3rd

 

i like the gsr tranny. if you are making decent power then that makes up for the shorter gears of the b16
