my friend has a 92 integra ls and it has a LOUD knocking noise that sounds like its coming from the head...i checked the valve lash and its at the right specs and thats the idea that i had any input is welcome

 

ive heard it before and it was a wrist pin

 

not saying this is your friends problem but I had a loud knock coming from my valve cover and started troubleshooting it. When I leaned down over my engine to listen more closely I put my hand over the plug wire and felt it jutting up and down...I had a loose spark plug. Sounded terrible. Might just check it to be safe

 

rockers getting starved of oil? check the oil.

 

oils good, ill check the sparkplugs tomorow

 

x2 on the loose spark plug...

it took me like 30 minutes to figure it out too since all sorts of noises were coming from my car at the time lol...
