Default Restoring my JDM ITR steering wheel.

I have a JDM ITR non-srs steering wheel that I would like to restore (So I can sell it, Picture below shows damage). Would repainting the center cap so it looks 100x better make it more worth you guys wild? or is the fact that it will been repainted hurt my chances of selling it?

Mine is a bit faded, although it doesn't look as bad as that. How is the rest of the wheel? The leather and the red stitching around the outsides? if that is damaged at all repainting the horn button won't do you a bit of good.

If your going to go through the trouble of doing some DIY painting on the button, or even buying a new MOMO or Honda one, you better make sure the wheel looks awesome, and not a crappy wheel with a new button.
just my $.02

The link to the rest of the pictures is in my sig if you want to see the leather damage. I have no want to keep this wheel, although I am not getting the offers I want for it because it is so beat up.

I do not know any companies that will rewrap the wheel for me. And I agree completely about if I don't do an awesome job with repainting it, it will not help me at all.

I would like to have gotten at least $100 for this wheel. I am not trying to turn this into a for sale thread as I don't want to **** any mods off.

I also would just do this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW
but as you said, the leather is beat up which will make this horn button not raise my sell price enough.

Sell it for whatever you can get out of it. Fixing it would be a waste of time and money.

I would just give it to the homeless or a needy friend. IMO of course.
