motor swap help and tips
ok guys im swapping out motors and i was wanting to know how long this will take. i have a gsr and it burns oil so im buying a jdm motor from nessar. also should i get a motor from him because i don't have time to buy a freaking shitty motor and then send it back. let me know if i should buy from them and how good the quality of ther motors are. also any swapping tips would be appreciated! thanks
I have never heard of Nessar, not saying anything bad, but most people I know buy them from individuals, HMotors, or PasswordJDM. Anyway have you ever done a swap before? Do any of your friends know how to? Do you have the tools and time to do the swap? They aren't terribly hard but you can always run into little problems, or that one tool you need and don't have and have to go to Sears and get it.
well im just getting the block and head and some of the other crap but he gives good discounts on his motors to ht members and he has a whole forum topic which of him sellin motors to ht people.nessar isnt the company hes the guy who sells them. im getting it from jdm-online.com. and i have all tools and a couple of my friends have built there own motros but they are v8s and my neighbor autocrosses his type r and he rebuilt his motor so i have experienced friends but i have never done it. and i also have all the time in the world since my license has been suspended until september.
