Default knocking sound.

I just put new coilovers on my hatch... and they are mad low, ive hit many bumps and my shocks have been blown before i installed the coilovers... while i was installing the coilovers I noticed something was leaking from around the wheel and axle and was dripping off of the tire when the car was lifted... i was like an oil or grease... and whenever i make a left turn i hear a small but noticeable knock... any ideas what could be wrong??? my guess was cv joint.. because my axles are only like a year and some change old. any help is appreciated.

What was the consistency of the grease? What color was it?

Heavy knocking is more like a ball joint, than cv (which clicks repeatedly)

it was like a very thin brown and it was actually a lot of fluid.

only other fluid that matches that (that i know of) would be power steering -
its almond color and slightly less viscous than motor oil

i highly doubt its the cv joint....dont go wasting money unless you know that is what is wrong.
bad joints CLICK continuously...they do not knock or thud
besides, axle grease is very heavy, thick, and usually dark green

(oh, and ive had more than one set of blown shocks w/ light tan fluid....)

Looked at the rack?
