Where the front passenger's feet are. Pull the carpet back, say hello to the monster that is the ecu shield.

The Si & VTEC ECU's are different. But a OBD1 Si ECU and a OBD1 VTEC ECU has the same plugs. However a OBD1 VTEC ECU has different plugs than a OBD2 VTEC ECU.

I'm not sure exacting what you mean.. But that should cover it...??

[Edit: Although the Si Harness doesn't have a few wires that the VTEC Harness does.. Two I believe it is...]

Yeah those shields for the ECU are a pain in the BUt* When I swapped my ecu, I didnt even put it back in because I couldnt get the bolts to thread because I didnt have any magnetic tipped sockets.

It's not that hard to get the shield on and off, i use a small telescopic magnet to get the nuts started.

after i got into my car accident, before the insurance took the totalled car, i swapped the interior and took out the p13 VTEC ecu and put the si ecu in there. car starts up, but ill feel sorry for whoever buys it and fix it and then drive it and realizes...whoa! no VTEc....pu' ahahaha...( also took out the abs cpu)
