JDM CRX Price Question
well i wont be able to buy til fall but i was exploring what some importers could locate for me - this is what they found - can mugenef7 find me cars or is he just the jdm expert?
depend on what model it is...seriously, 5000 for a 10+ year old car is not worth it. What you also have to worry is that if you can register that baby to drive on the road. It ain't easy as you think...

i wasnt gonna register it, i was either going to do it as a show car, or completely swap everything to a USDM crx to make it a 'US' Civic

ONLY BUY IT IF IT COMES WITH THE HELLO KITTY CUP HOLDER!!!!! UHHHHHHHH THATS SICK!!! LOL HAHAHAHA
a few of my friends have jdm cars, my friend has a glass top crx right hand drive ZC which he got for like 2000$ its in pretty good condition but it needed a new motor, so he fixed it and he cant register it.......so he has to say its a custom car or somethin like that.
and another friend has a glass top rhd SiR, without leather and he paid like 4000$ for it, its clean but the glass top is cracked!!! ohhhh ouch! thats expensive to fix, but anyways he is still trying to register it also!!!
good luck!

Actually 5K for that CRX.. errr 3300 for that CRX is actually a decent price. But I would check with your local customs agents on clearing an overseas vehicle. Last time I tried to bring one over they destroyed it
. Technically its illegal to bring over Japanese cars thats over a certain age for road usage. IF they are brought over it must be as a " PARTS ONLY " car and not as a registering motor vehicle. Trying to register it will only drive you insane.
But like I said, Check with your local customs agency to see what is needed for a vehicle to clear. Last time I checked the vehicle had to be disassembled into 2 or more pieces to be brought over due to fuel fumes and combustion under pressure.
But hell 5K and you dont wanna register it? Go for it. Make sure customs know about it or bye bye SiR it goes.

actually..there is a way to do it..but it's very annoying. Lots of money and time consuming. I personally wouldn't go thru. but if you want to...IM me and i'll teach you how

cant you just pop the vin# tags off of a wrecked one and then pop them onto the jdm one and register it as a custom? i have no idea if thats possible but it seems like it would work

The other " right way " is to chop off the front end and do a RHD conversion to your car which would cost alot more money but less time. The only problem with this is half *** body shops that do cheap welds. But even if, Honda unibody frames are overlapping aluminum layovers. So basically its a peel off and add on. Makes you think how safe your car is huh? hehe.
please post what you went through to register your JDM vehicle, it would make a very worthwhile post. thanks.

lmk thanks
ive done a previous post on how to register RHD cars about 5 months ago here on H-T. Trust me.. Its costly and time consuming. Not worth it for a Honda in my opinion, but maybe for a RHD German M3.
