I am trying to remove the trailing arm on the right rear wheel of my 92 accord but the parking brake wire goes straight through a hole on the trailing arm and connects to the wheel. i cant see any way of taking the wire out so the trailing arm comes off. please help. thank you

Pull off the brake drum and the rear shoe, then release the cable end from the shoe and squeeze the 'connector' inside the backing plate to ge tthe cable out of the hole.
