I got a estimate of 10000 for their LSVTEC Package 2: Hydro LS/VTEC High Performance Changeover. 2 liter
If you had 10k would this be a best buy.

IMO no and yes. Although thier quality of work is very good. Id rather to stick to something local where you can pick out EVERYTHING you exactly need, sort of make your own package to suit your needs. Then you can have the person who built the motor, tune it for percision.

But the hardest part about it, is finding good help. Good luck though

that isnt no normal lsvtec motor....its fully built and if you add up all the parts and labor its deff. worth it.

It's a good deal, especially since they come with SMSP Headers, etc...

If you add-up all the pricing, and the labor...10k isn't bad...AS LONG as there is a pre-determined Horsepower Output, that is guaranteed.

For 10k, no work involved...I better be getting 220+ at the wheels with a fat torque curve. It's all about tuning though...

if you are intent on staying N/A, i'd say it's worth the money. otherwise, you'll see similar hp numbers by going FI but with a lower overall cost.

Yes, but for $7k less I have a B18C5 and another car. With that $7k extra I can do what I wish.

I guess it depends on how much you value $10,000. If you don't consider it to be too much money and you don't want to do any of the design work yourself then it is probably a good deal for you. No hassle upgrade, just drop it in. If you don't mind doing the design work yourself you could send all the parts out to different places and maybe save a bit of money, but it is more work on your part. It might help if you explain what you are getting for the $10,000 - exact parts list. For example, head work, pistons, rods, cylinder sleeves (obviously), valvetrain and cams ?, tranny clutch and fly ?, etc..... .

I'll buy a brand new B18C1 and a Turbo kit and still have change left over for that much money.

Hmmm... IMO, being that I do have one of the package 2(LS/VTEC) motors, I'd say that it's definitely worth it!
Reason why is that they are extremely honest, they have experience, and that everything they build is bad ***. Plus, their service is really good. It's up to you, do you want to risk your money and save a little bit, or spend the extra and get it done right the first place? If reliability is of concern, I'd go to IB for sure.

i personally live by import builders and i have seen alot of their work and good lord is it good. if you live in so. cali they have a car dyno also. so they can fine tune your ride. they are good at meeting their shipping times and doing what they promise. its one of the few good shops left in the import scene. id have to say its worth it. good work and good hp.

I don't think $10,000 is worth 215whp... Look at another member on this board - Gordon... He's making 206whp with Jun 3s, CTR Pistons, SMSP Header... Stock intake, stock exhaust.

$3k for a hatch WITH a Type R motor doesn't seem fishy to you?

but also take n mind that you are getting a complete block and not using any of your parts and no down time.

i got my 2000 2dr GSR for $12,000.
only had 15,000 miles on it...LOADED.
theft recovery declared total loss (it was salvaged.)
i mean importbuilders does some bad *** work..
but it will cost you.
if i had 10k...i'd get a loan for a Supra.
