Starter replacement time?

not long yo...if you need to replace yours, just disconnect all the wire going to it and remove the bolts that hold it to the tranny...i'll say about 15 mins...might make life easier by removing your intake so you can get to it at ease....just go do it...

LOL...you're in CA...I'm in Buffalo. Do you have any idea what the weather is like here? Freezing...and even more so when the wind's blowing which is pretty continuous right now. I'm paying to have that **** done. I was just wondering for piece of mind. Hopefully they'll be able to get it done today...once the tow truck gets here.

Yep, really that quick. There are two nuts holding on ring terminals, and one wire with a spade connector that you remove. Then one bolt on either side of the starter to remove it. Install is reversed.

uhu...just save money on the tow truck and the starter replacement labor and do it yourself....just wear some sweats under jeans and a few sweaters under a fat jacket...its really easy...you'll be happy once you're done with it..

The tow was free (AAA). I'm glad I did take it to the garage because it was exactly the starter. It was the wiring going to the starter.
