anyone make a directi fit wiring harness for trailer lights?
Thinking of getting a small harbor freight trailer to tow my dirtbike with. Would get a draw-tite hitch (hidden hitch doesnt seem to have one for a 90 civic hatch). Does anyone make a plug and play wiring harness, rather than having to use those "taps". I dont like cutting into the stock harness.
just make your own plug and play harness. just cut both sides of the connector for the rear lights from a junkyard one and splice and solder for the trailer wires so it can plug right in
well I don't know about the wiring but there are definately hidden tow hitch kits for ef hatches I've seen them on here.
everytime someone posts a hidden hitch on here it seems to be a different year (not 88-91)or an integra, got a link to any on an EF?
i had considered the junkyard but i dont think i'll find any EF's around here

I have some extra taillight harnesses if you want them, then just get a universal wiring harness for a three-wire system and make your own harness. Or, I can do it for you for the right price, I used to install hitches and wiring for 4 years at U-Haul. PM me if you're interested.
To locate a hitch that's probably been sitting in a shop somewhere, consider sourcing it through U-Haul. I used to get rid of old product at cost ($20), this old of a hitch would definitely fall under that category. I'm pretty sure Draw-Tite is the only company that currently makes one for the EF hatches, Dalan is another but they are now out of business.

why? 290lb motorcycle plus 200lb trailer, civic should be quite capable of towing 500lbs.
or i can get a truck and have another vehicle to maintain, insure, etc that i will very rarely have a need for

Yup, "Splitime" has a very hidden hitch in his car for tire trailer.
I LOVE his hitch.
It hides behind a hinged license plate.

Heh, damn u guys for mentioning me and the hitch
Its custom though ... one off basically. It replaces the rear bumper beam with a hidden hitch salvaged from a hitch installer store. Then has supports that run down under to the frame. License plate uses a doorish hinge and hinges up to reveal the reciever, where i put the trailer bar and roll from there.
Shows it on car during fab work.

Adam being gayDM. Good view of it though and how we integrated it.

Normally like this....

And Dan... Tippy... this is for you guys for pointing out I have a hitch and not mentioning I might get random IMs
