Best place to cut AEM CAI to convert to short ram intake
So i've had enough of the AEM cold air intake in the winter, it gets dirty and coverd in ice after about 400 km, and I actually think running it has worn out my motor a bit.
However this is entirly my fault and I am not putting any blame on AEM at all.
Anyways, I need to cut the pipe in order to make it a short ram so the snow/ice/and dirt isnt clogging up the filter every 100 km.
Does anyone know the ideal place to cut the pipe which sacrafices the least hp (I'm assuming keeping it the longest)
The car is a 92 VX with a b16a and a AEM V1 cai.
For kicks, heres a pic of the filter after 1000 km (I am running a splash guard)

You need the intake style that mimics OEM Integra. In other words, a short ram with the piping as long as possible, with a cone oversized filter element enclosed in a box, then with a duct ran down into the fender and a scoop for some ram air. You can cut the fender opening larger and custom make a large box to insulate the filter. Properly tuned length and diameter piping, this style will outperform your AEM CAI and you shouldn't have any problems with weather, although I don't have any experience in the snow.
