Dude, you can get one of those cheap import knockoffs for like $20. Don't make one, just pick one up on eBay.

Side note: basically 99.9% of strut bars are the same generic kind, places like Tenzo*R just charge a bit more for the red "R". Only ones worth paying a bit more are the Neuspeed-type ones.

if you really want to make one.... buy a piece of pipe, cut it to the right length with a hack saw, drill a hole through the pipe, then bolt it on....

We were thinking this.

He has a square pipe. We cut it down leaving 8" on each side short of the struts. Then we weld two more square pipes to the main one. One pipe to each bolt. We then squish the pipe and drill the holes. Kinda copy the neuspeed one. Does that sound ok?

How much room can you go up before you hit the hood.

I am planning on moving the fuse box that is on the passenger side shock tower, as well as all the wiring on the driver side tower. Then drill holes, and bolt in the stock strut bar from my brother's '00 Si. That bar is really sturdy, and WAY light!!

Anyone else done this? Any pics?

Just to clarify things:

Your strut bar is supposed to be loaded when putting on right?

So you want it to be pushing out and it should be a PITA to put on?
