Default radiator swap

hi im thinking of doing this but what are the pro or cons of doing this? i am thinking of putting in my 97 a civic radiator and ac radiator(not sure what its called) i know that its not a direct bolt on but i know i can get them to fit with a little work. im thinking of doing this because i want to free up some weight on my car. what i want to know is how would this effect the engine in any way? i know that h22 swap civics and integras use the same radiators.

They made the stock radiator bigger on accords because there's more engine to cool. Not twice as much, but maybe a half liter more of displacement. How much weight are you trying to free up? You'd be far better off to just get a carbon fiber hood/trunk than trying to make a civic radiator mount and work properly, IMO.

yes and yes. here is the reason why it's a bad item

1)motor size difference between civic and your accord

2)you can loose more weight somewhere else without screw sh-t up.

is your interior gutted?

is your trunk gutted?

lightweight wheel?

cf body piece(dry carbon>wet carbon, real carbon>cf over lay fg)

ps/cc/a/c/washer squirter/spare/jack

Don't forget to put on a sidepipe to shorten the exhaust, major weight reduction there.

He aint real....

lol

AS in if he's looking to lose the weight from under the hood instead of looking for other less important places to lose it.

I think you'll see most H22 Civic's with upgraded radiators. Either the same size but 2 row like the Del Sol VTEC's and some aftermarket aluminum ones, or a full size radiator swap from an Integra.
