05 Accord Transmission Problem
I have a 05 Accord LX V6 with an auto transmission. With the car on level ground and the engine cold, I can shift the transmission was in netrual the car would roll forward and pick up speed. I noticed it in the carwashes first and was able to replicate it in parking lots and slight uphills. When the engince warms up it will not roll in netrual.
The dealer told me to change the transmission fuild at 31000 miles. That did not help. It now has 33000 miles on it and still does it. The dealer did not know what is wrong.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

replace the unit. They have to open that one to fix that problem and a dealer level tech is not qualified to do that.....
If the dealer level tech is not qualified, who is? Are these transmission sealed, what do you mean by "open it up"?
I am new to Honda's and don't know all the in's and out's yet.

All dealers do is replace the trans with a new or remanufactured unit. Dealer techs do not open up and repair the units at the dealership.
There is a bulletin on the idle speed being too high when the engine is cold causing it to creap when it gear, but that is in drive or reverse, not neutral. The repair is to have the computer reprogramed to change the idle speed when cold. Have them do that for you if it hasn't been done just to eliminate the known problem first. Bulletin #06-041
