Default Car accident

Alright, so, no I don't have pictures, I know you're all going to ask for them.... so I'm on my way home from work, and it's snowing fairly well, been snowing all day actually, but anyway, point is, I'm stopped at a red light....

....And this totally reminds me of Dane Cook, "Why'd you stop at a red light and let me hit you going 80?!" (just an afterthought)

....So after this dumb blonde smashes my entire rear bumper, decides to tell me as we're inspecting the damage......

"I couldn't stop in time...."

So without missing a beat, I reply:

"Really??"

....Moral of the story, don't stop at red lights.... sure it may be the law, and sure you may hit head on traffic, but at least you won't be worried about the car behind you slamming into you like a complete idiot.

Yeah, thanks bro, and I wouldn't say it's horrible, from what I determined, there's no frame damage, just the bumper, exhaust, suspension, and trunk..... could be worse I guess.... that and my neck's hurting quite a bit from whip-lash

....Good thing the air bags didn't deploy, then she'd be really screwed, and that I was wearing my seat belt.... now I know why I wear that thing.... well, that and because of the annoying beep.

Did you notice the headrests slide forward to prevent whiplash? My salesman pushed that selling point at least 20x while looking at the civic, and now I'm a little worried, because I've been rear-ended twice in less than two years.. because minnesota winter + crappy snowplows = no traction.

Yea, as far as I know they only come forward in the event of the airbags going off/depeding on what the impact sensors feed the SRS unit. They dont move foward very dramatically, but enough to save your neck

Yeah, no I the headrests didn't slide up, but the air bags did not go off either, so that could be it.... although I do wish that the headrests did slide forward... my neck is KILLING me!

I was slowing down for a stoplight the other day when I heard the "SSSCCCRRRRRRRRR" of brakes locking up behind me and saw a car closing on me fast. I got as close as I could to the car in front of me and luckily I escaped with only a mild heart attack.

You're absolutely right he is the man.... but I took a look at everything this morning and it looks like the rear end is smashed in, the trunk lids pushed up a bit, my exhaust is bent to ****, and I couldn't really tell from looking at it, but I would imagine the rear suspension wouldn't be doing too good right now.

I don't think it'll be totalled, I really doubt there is frame damage and nothing near the engine bay is messed up. I'm taking it in to the shop tomorrow.... just because it's fun rollin' around in the evo for now I normally don't like driving it when it's cold, or snowy, I baby that car.... but yeah....

....To be honest with you guys..... I think after it's done being repaired..... and I hate to say this.... but I think I'm going to turn it in and get the Si..... '06 because I hate VSA.

You're prolly lucky you didn't see it coming, that's always the worst part for me.

Like a month or so ago I was at a green light, turning left. The light turned yellow at my turn so I started going. Some guy going straight just assumed I would stop for the yellow and kept going... Well we both kept going and all of a sudden I hear his breaks lock up and a horn blaring and that "mild" heart-attack set in. Luckily the guy swerved into the curb instead of me

Yeah yeah, I know now, I get enough crap from you people to know better

The one I always wanted was the rally red, with lip kit, and hfp wheels.... I think it's a good combo, and I'm most definitely going for it. I have enough cash and equity in my car now where as I think I'll only be 1 or 2 thousand off.

Really? I think Dane Cook is among the worst "comedians" ever. Sarah Silverman takes the cake though. Maybe because I'm so used to ComicView and Def Comedy Jam. *shrug*

Anyway, just because she hit you, it should've PIHHB. Was she at least hot? WTF man. You can't take it from the back from an ugly chick. Not that I would take it from the back from a hot chick either, but um...yeah.

Seriously though, I know how you feel.
