Engine spins, won't start, has gas, fuel pump is working. I popped the dizzy cap off and the pins inside were half eaten away and the rotor had some scores on it, is this likely the cause as the plugs won't spark.

 

take one of the spark plug leads out and see if it sparks. If it doesnt then more than likely ur dizzy or a faulty lead.
