I have a 98 Accord 2.3L that I bought new and it runs great, but lately it has seemed a little more hessitant to start, and today I noticed a little bit of a loss of acceleration. It has a 119K miles mostly higway miles. I change the oil every 3K and it has a new air filter in it. Do you guys think it needs a tune up, pcv, fuel filter? If your wondering it has never had a tune up or really anything done to the engine other then oil changes and air filters. Thanks for the help

 

by hesitant to start, do you mean that its having to turn over longer before the engine fires?

 

Yes, plugs, rotor, fuel filter, and PCV valve would be a good idea, perhaps even ignition wires of good quality, like NGK.

 

Well I was going to refer to the cold if he's in MI. My car is turning over longer this past week because the severe cold is beating the **** out of my battery.

 

yeah its slower to start up, and it seems like it doesnt have the power it used to have. I replaced the battery a few weeks ago, and now I was wondering if it needs a tune up?
