Default VTEC Tuner?

I heard about these things, and im wondering whats a good brand? Upside downside? How to install them? Right now i have a D15B but i got a GSR swap coming in pretty soon, so id figure id play with it with the 1-5 and have in by the time i get the GSR.

The fvck is a VTEC tuner?

You mean a VTEC controller, such as an A'PEXi VAFC or Spoon VTEC controller?

They suck chode. Your motor is designed to engage VTEC at a certain RPM for a reason:

Honda knows what is efficient and beneficial for their engines far more than you do.

unless you you know what you are doing with the controller you will most likely lose hp/tq, im not saying it cant be done right with the controller, but it takes alot of know how to tune through these but being a hack controller people just dont like them and ive never seen a shop that tunes them.

It's a simple question that's been covered more than "How to do a b16 vetch swapz?"

Your Dumb. You dont always want Vtec kickin in at the factory setting. Once you start tunning the motor and making adjustments you change the Vtec engagment point in order to keep from losing to much horsepower. So yeah Honda doesnt always know best. Have you even driven a car with an agressive set of cams? You will notice a quick drop in acceleration when vtec hits unless you adjust it. But anyways have fun shitting on people who just have some simple questions.

Did Honda ever set the engagement point at an incorrect point on a stock motor? No.
Did Honda offer aftermarket cams? No.
Does Honda know their stock motor better than you? Yes.

Arguing the point of a modified valvetrain is ignorant. The OP has a stock D15B, and is getting a stock B18C. Using an AFC hack on either of those motors is worthless.

AFC hacks can be "useful", but there are far better options. The fact that you have to "fool" your ECU into believing you have more air than it does is not a good basis for tuning. I'll **** on any question I feel, especially one that's been covered thousands of times, and has been beat to death. Go ahead and defend an AFC hack. Next you can defend FMU's

Can you tune a stock motor? Yes
Is there are possibility of adjusting **** for more power? Yes
Do you think Honda tunes their motors from the power for maximum power output or for fuel economy?

You can do anything you want. It can also be a tremendous waste of time and money for little to no gains in power, and even a high chance of that gain in horsepower resulting in a loss of torque.

It depends on the motor.

D15B, D16Y5, etc etc? - Economy

D16Y8, K24, K20A3, etc etc? - A harmony of power and economy.

F20C, K20A, B16B, B18C, B18C-R, etc etc? - Power

Either way, for his purposes, it's a bad idea. You're grasping at straws trying to defend a very crappy system that the OP wants to use in a very crappy way.
