2003 V6 Accord Transmission
We have a 2003 V6 Accord with 81,000 that has an automatic transmission problem. The car surges when idling, then surges and shifts hard when getting up to speed - especially between 20 - 50 mph.
The dealer service has recommended that we put in a rebuilt transmission for 2800+. We are very surprised about this news as we have followed the recommended service guidelines as closely as possible.
We do drive the car in ATL traffic about 75 miles per day. But this seems really out of character for a Honda.
Has anyone else experienced transmission problems this early in this model? Any recommendations or advice?

03+ models are not NEARLY as bad as the 98-02 models...with that said they DO USE the SAME 5AT series transmission that the TL AND CL models do and the 01-03 model years are not exactly known for outstanding reliability.........
