Sorry, but I didn't find any thread on a common issues of Accord EX-L V6 09'+.

Right now I have Accord LX 4cyl. 2000 and hope that this autumn I will be looking for a bit newer and fresh car. At this time I decided to look for a used Accord EX-L V6 09'+ under 25K and no more than 30000 miles on it.

The thing is that I don't know about common issues/problems of such Accords 09 and later. I can take a car to a mechanic or perform a simple inspection by myself. But I need to know what are the possible problems with that cars and what things must have been changed/repaired already or if they haven't been changed/repaired then it will be my problem.

From one Honda mechanic I heard that these Accords have problems with rear brakes, but it could be a rumors. From another thread I learned that there is a vibration at 60Mph, but I'm not sure that this problem has a good cure. I'm not sure that the warranty can cover all this things or that the certified services can handle that problems.

BTW, is there any Honda club/community or meetings of Honda owners in Miami? I'd like to see the V6 car in real life. It's interesting how quick and sharp is V6 Accord 09'+

I bought an '08 EXL V6-6spd in Dec. Rear brakes do seem to be a common problem...mostly from what I have seen is that the pads wear down quickly. I believe aftermarket pads would solve this issue.

Depending if you are looking into an auto or manual v6 I am sure there are different things to look at. Are you buying from a dealership or private party?

Are you looking to buy at a dealership or private party? In either case factory bumper to bumper warranty goes to 36k or 3yrs.

I didn't think where to buy - from a pp or a dealership. The price is always subject for negotiation wherever you buy a car.

Oh, I didn't know that a warranty only goes to 36k miles. I thought that it would be at least 45K. But not I see it: http://automobiles.honda.com/accord-sedan/warranty.aspx

Actually I'm not sure that I want manual trans, because I want a reliable, fast daily driver. I'm not going to race, but right now I'm not satisfied by the performance of my 4 cyl. accord 2000 with AT.

Pads? Yeah, I haven't learned how to change rear pads/rotors (because right now I have drums), but I hope that it's almost like front pads, expect the rear brakes have a connection with a parking brake system.

the only issue on the v6's is fouling the spark plugs due to the VCM which requires a pcm update and new plugs on 1, 2, and 3. the problems that were mentioned earlier are limited to the 4 cylinder accord. the V6 is a solid car good luck finding one in a 6 speed though they stopped making them in the coupe and don't make a sedan good luck

Hey i'm a proud owner of a 2009 v6 accord coupe and let me tell you that its LOADED like a full catback exhaust system air filter and many other "goodies". Idk about in miami but i'm in tampa and they have car shows at almost every sonic late at night on weekends and also on saturday's they have a extensive collection of cars at DQ lol i know a bunch of food places....but u'd be suprised at some of these cars FOR SURE
