Hi, i'm new to forums. I tried to search for my paricular problem but couldnt find anything of use. I recently dropped in a 99-00 b16a2(engine, tranny, ecu, and engine harness) into my 96 civic dx. I'm kinda aware of the differences in obd2a and obd2b, but after the swap my speedo and tach dont work, luckily my fuel and temp gauges work. I've been told 2 different things. 1)switch the dash harness to a obd2b civic ex or si or 2)change to ex engine harness, ecu to obd2a, and wire up the o2 senors and another wiring needed. Also I still dont have a cat bolted on yet. So i was thinking swapping in the dash harness, floor harness(the one that goes to 2nd o2), o2 sensor and of course the cat. Would there be any problem with this? Im just concerned about getting all fixed and working properly, able to pass emission without popping any codes without cutting wires and rigging it up etc. I've tried to provide much info as I could.
