First if you are pretty new to this do you understand what down sides you'll have of being this high comp?

Also you know you can pull a good deal more power with more timing instead of a few more points of SCR?

Honestly for most street builds i'd not try to go over 11.5 if I could. Also depending on cam selection and what motor is being used for.

If you do honestly want a 12:1 comp ratio motor and all, a handful of setups are down in the all motor section search there.

Make sure your cams are good with your pistons. Probly some high comp pistons, new rods, bearings, rings, cams, springs, retanirers, and a lot of stuff. Build from
the bottom up.

Gas, your going to have a fun time with the gas. You cant use cheap gas thats the problem. I dont know if 93 is appropriate for it either. So ur going to be running of race fuel. It is expensive. Probably more efficiant if you went turbo. Your bassicaly going to rebuild your motor, so new pistons means a probability of having to Bore it out, and since the head will be off, might as well port and polish while its off. You can mill the head but i dont no much about that. And milling doesnt sound like the greatest idea in my opinion.

100 octane

if run 93 octane would have to retard timing so much 12.5:1 is high man

I would suggest going turbo. 100 octain is expensive, and you have to find it.

yes it is expensive, but you can get some 100 octane vp race gas in barrels and fill up yourself,or if he lives by a racetrack he could go there and pay $6 a gallon

lol where i live you can get 110 octain for six bux, but it is only at one store, the nearest race track is about a twenty min drive.

but any ways, he could try octain booster, but i wouldnt trust what it says, idk if it works or not

OP what are you doing with the motor and you can run 93 at 12:1 or 12.5:1

you'll just have lamer timing tables and would probbly make more power with more timing then that kinda comp.

well i never run regualr in any of my cars. only premium. race gas is not a problem because there is a station 2miles from my home that sells 110octane for 4.35 a gallon. what parts can i use to put this setup together. some one told me that this will make decent compression........d16a6 or sohc ZC block
d16a1 pistons (pg7?)
d16y8 head
d16y6 intake manifold
b18b LS t/b - 60mm
