Default Differance between 94 gsr motor and 00 gsr motor?

im wondering what the diffs are between the 94 and 00 gsr motors are they the same or have more hp or tq ????

same specs.. just the 94 is obd1, 00 is obd2b

OB1 and OBD2B

That's it; generally.

There are other things like harnesses' and wiring. But MECHANICALLY your looking at all of the same stuff.

i have heard that, although it has to be proven. in theory they should be faster. less sensors for smog related purposes.. therefore less things holding the motor back. if you disagree with me dont flame. like i said i do not know for a fact which is faster. another example: euro and jdm cars, they have slightly tweaked engines but a lot less smog restrictions..

the JDM engines are a different topic...They PHYSICALLY HAVE DIFFERENT INTERNAL COMPONENTS (unlike the obd1 vs obd2 GSR motors)...the pistons are higher compression pistons...

internally they're the same. externally they have different length headers.

let me define tweaked for you - IMO thats higher CP ratio, more agressive cams, and better intake and exhaust components. the last one is not necessarily part of the engine though

im not here to argue, just sharing my opinion
