Default Good Tires

I am in the search for some good tires... My Parada Spec 2's are about gone... I want to go to a 225-40-18. Right now I have 215-40-18. My budget right now is around 400 bucks.... I could go lower though HAHA.... The season is about to be warm, and I am in Texas so it will get here QUICK.... Any help???

With that small of a budget, your only option is the ecsta mx...at least accoring to http://www.tirerack.com I'd personally get a second job and save up to get some GS-D3s @ $173 each - almost double your budget, but tires are not the thing to cheap on

Kumho Ecsta SPT, $86 per tire from the TireRack. I am assuming since you are in Texas you don't need an All-Season tire, and for the money there is nothing better out there than the Ecsta SPT. If you need them right now, Discount Tire/Americas Tire will match the Tire Rack's price.

Don't waste your money, the Kumho Ecsta SPT offers the same level of performance for much less money. It may not look as cool, but on the only thing touching the ground I would focus more on performance than looks. If you are going to spend KDW-2 money you might as well get some Goodyear F1-GS D3s. The General Exclaim UHP doesn't perform quite as well as the SPT and is generally only a bit cheaper.

Jon

PS: You will want to stick with a tire that is as close to stock as possible, the 225/45R18 is 2% too large, and you won't gain that much performance from the extra 10mm.

I had to get new tires today and i got Falken fk-452. Brandon at Discount Tire direct suggested them. They ran $100 a piece. I am getting them mounted today. I hope they work out well.
