DPFI and Nitrous?...
Im not a big nitrous guy, so I was questioning this...
Would giving a d series with the dual point fuel injection a small shot of nitrous be possible? or would it not work properly?
Anyone know anyone who has done it ?
Thanks folks!

you could....but why? Hell, i've even seen a turbo dual point before! But it sound's kind of pointless, you would see a ton more gains with nitrous on a mpfi engine. It should work fine, but you aren't going to see the results you might be after. I could see if maybe you had a kit just lying around and you wanted to for fun, but i wouldn't expect a whole lot from it.
it would leave u about 40 hp behind the sir and tq might be about the same. throw a 55 shot on it, then i say u win. and your clutch wont handle it so u might wanna go pick up atleast a stage 1 unless u have already done so.

This is sad. Did this kid just get done watching fast and furious. Wtf would you want to do anything to a DPFI...kid the best upgrade you can do is convert it over to a MPFI. its cheap and gives you ALOT more power. Then go and do your little NAS.
There is no way you could even keep up with a b16. Lets see here you have like 70hp max. You wanna add a 30 shot. hmmm that would give you 100hp. You cannot even beat a stock 90 si with that. Good luck!

I will speak from experience, instead of from my *** (like the others above).
The dpfi can take nitrous fine. I just put together a setup in a dpfi equiped civic and we kept the 4 speed installed. It will mess up a swapped car easily.

he said he had dpfi but he didnt say what motor he had (although i doubt it is other than stock)....i have dpfi with a sohc zc and it was a MAJOR upgrade from the 70hp beast d15b2. We shouldnt hate on people just cause they have the original setup from factory. I have an mpfi'd d15b2 rex and my dpfi sohc zc kicks its rear at about everything (except gas mileage) I give him props for wanting to try with what he has right now, everyones been there at one point right?

My *** has an immense amount of knowledge that you could barely begin to comprehend.
The only way your 70 hp peice of **** could "destroy a swapped car" is if you ran into it.
Props for messing with the DPFI, but no props for taking it seriously.

I used to swap from mpfi to dpfi like it was my job and ****. This one time, I wanted to try and pass inspection, but I was failing from running too rich. Well I went to the junkyard, grabbed a dpfi manifold, after realizing I threw my old one away, and popped that sucker on. Thinking this ***** gonna run clean and get great mileage, I drive to the station and fail even worse.
I now realize this has nothing to do with the conversation.
Random moral of the story: MPFI runs better, HP aside.

NOS on DPFI? I was just thinking that over the weekend! Why? Why not? I already have a B16 swapped Rex. This is my daily driven STD model that I'd like a little more power from (on occasion). And NOS, because I want a little extra HP, while still maintaining my 32 MPG city.....and 44 MPG highway.
So I say go for it. And let me know how it turns out for you.

lol I wasnt 100% serious about this thread.
I was just curious if the dpfi will even give a good enough fuel mixture for it.
Right now my car beats 88-91 si's ... b15b7 swap with dpfi, Dont ask how.. but it does.
