Default OT: NH ITR Owners

Hey i'm getting ready for a huge move. I born raised in northern california. Not that i hate this place but, its getting outrageous. I cant even find a appartment in a decent places for a decent price. Ive decided to move i have a few friends in NH area just wanting to know some feedback on the laws, wheather, and generally how it is out there. Moving to or around the Keene area.

Im not a fan of snow either but, the real reason for moving isnt for me its for my future kids. Learning from my town california public education is still in the shithole. So ive decided to move to a place where there are some elite private schools.

Bro, Im from CT orginally. Have many friends all the way to maine and NH. Im glad im not there anymore. I hate snow-winters there. Not much to do, since you live in the stick pretty much. I was in Cali for a while, yes its expensive but I liked it alot more than the northeast. I'm in South Carolina/GA border area now... its ok, not the greatest but still wouldn't go back to the NH area.

If you go to the northeast you wont need to put your kids in private schools, their public schools are excellent.

Used to be, I graduated in '03 and I can't believe how much the school has changed already. The schools themselves are still good as far as education, it's more of "gangs" that have goten worse in the recent years

i live in NH

ive owned an R here

winters can get pretty crazy, you need good snow tires if you drive the R

there arent many R's in this area though, so expect to be one of the few and the proud

i may be picking up another R soon, who knows

It's the same reason I came back.

0 crime, nobody even bothers locking their doors
one of the best public education systems
the south is jammed full of retards
the summers were getting way too brutal

I can handle a little snow if it means I get to raise my kids in an area that's a perfect enviroment for them.

NH is still part of the "virgin" northeast. If rural life is your speed, then you won't be disappointed. I was there recently and found it to be very beautiful and peaceful.

It's safe to say you won't be getting any stares from "gang bangers" in NH when you go out in public. It's not contaminated with crime and drugs the way many parts of CT and MA have become in the last 15 years.

I make a good living here in NY and live in a nice area. But a day doesn't go by that the thought of relocating to a state/area with a lower cost of living and less crime doesn't cross my mind. I have 2 young kids BTW.

I'm from MA, about an hour from the border and I got to say if you don't mind winters new england is the place to live. Your kids can get great public schooling and over population isn't bad in most areas. New Hampshire is beautiful if you like wilderness. get ready to snowboard or buy an atv because thats basically what there is to do out there.
