Default P1399 AND MISFIRE CODES 99Si

Okay fellas (and possible gals), this is my first time posting though I have read a lot and this one is rough.

Situation: Driving my 1999 Si back to NC from NOPI last year, was racing some other guys down 20N, pulled off on an exit and my cel started flashing and my car felt like it was running on two cylinders. I towed it back with some help from a friend and here is what I have done so far.....

Checked CAT by removing...its good to go
Changed PLUGS, WIRES, CAP & ROTOR...they are good to go
Bought a scanner and got codes P0303 (#3 Cyl Misifre) and P1399 Pending (Ignition control or misfire)...and now I'm stuck!

No one seems to be able to narrow down the code 1399. I checked the DISTRIBUTOR and it seemed fine but I am not 100% sure what to look for. The car will start but it runs like crap and about 10 seconds later the CEL starts flashing again.

Car has 105,000 HARD miles and Iam willing to try almost anything suggested here within my financial means. Iam doing a compression check tomorrow for valve damage but also would like to know how to check the injectors.

Any help is greatly appreciated.......

did you just look at the dizzy or actually swap parts? ignition control module would be a place to start...

No I just looked at it..should it spin freely or is there anything I should look for?

Would a faulty ICM still allow car to start normally?

Thank you...I will add it to my "list" for tomorrow. Any ideas on how to check for a faulty injector or why the #3 would be reading misfire but not the others?

Thanks for all of the info guys....I have a buddy with a 2000 Si, I'll see if I can get his Dizzy for a day (he never drives it anyway!). I will repost tomorrow to update people because I know I'm not the only one with this issue.
