You can start with the basics, air intake, header, and a cat-back exhaust system, if the car doesn't already have some or all of those parts. The big question is, how much do/can you budget to spend on the car?

What is your future plans for the car? Do you plan on building up the ZC, or do you plan on swapping the engine for a B-series?

You currently don't need the MSD ignition. I think you should just stick it out and save your money for the B16 and the parts you will need for turbocharging.

Suspension is and always will be the single best mod for a crx..or any car for that matter. You will thank me later.

Like SIred91 said, no matter what you do with your car a good suspension is a must.

Hows your clutch? You could get a stronger clutch and a lighter flywheel for right around 700. A fresh clutch can make a huge difference if the one you have is stock or worn out.

Im sorry, I didn't see where you posted you already have suspension? Are we blind?
Is the "suspension" you speak of just shitty e-gay springs and crap struts or cut springs or what? Invest in a QUALITY suspension. This will make a slow car eat a fast car with the right driver.
700 dollars will get you NOTHING in performance that will make you notice the difference unless you throw some nitrous on it, and then you will blow your motor because you wont be tuned or built for it.

So......give us more details or nothing will help your car.
Cams and gears will do nothing for you at this point. Neither will intake or whatever aftermarket ignition you get UNTIL you build the **** out of it or boost it.

so.....QUALITY SUSPENSION.
