Default Hard shift into 1st and 2nd gear

I have had my 2001 acura integra se for about 6 months now and am noticing in the cold weather it most of shifted into 1st and 2nd slowly with a fair amount of force. If a shift it too fast into either of those gears it will gind too. Once the transmission warms up it will shift into both gears normally however it has to be really warm and as most of my driving is done in the city and I live in Canada with cold winters most of the driving that i do takes place before the transmission has had time to completely warm up. The problem is very frustrating on an other wise very nice car.

I should mention that I did try changing the transmission fluid and filled it will honda's manual transmission. The car it's self only has 60,000km on it.

Has anyone else experience similar problems? Or have any idea's how I should try to deal with it?

I had similar problems with 3rd and 4th, and reverse.. It was very hard to get into 3rd nd 4th and impossible to get into reverse (well mayeb not impossible but it grinded like crazy). A new clutch fixed the problem for me, it wasn't fully disengaging.

Sounds like you might need to get your clutch replaced.

If it was the clutch shouldn't I be having trouble getting into all gears?

I don't think so. If you had trouble getting into gears, wouldn't that affect your gear box instead of the clutch. My friend had trouble going into 1st and 2nd. After awhile his clutch gave out and it stayed in 1st. His other gears worked fine expect those two. Correct me if I am wrong.
